“To go abroad is more than just attending a school, you know. The life I live in the US is totally different, and I’m not only talking about business school. Every day I see new things, I hear new sounds, I smell new smells. Studying for my degree feels more like a journey than like a mere three years at the uni. It’s the biggest thing I’ve ever done. If I’d know that when I took the test, I’m not sure I would’ve dared to, to be honest. But I’m glad I did.”

“But I had to take the test three times, actually – my English wasn’t that good and they’re pretty strict when it comes to the language,, and they have all the right to be, if I didn’t understand English well, I couldn’t follow the courses. So I worked away at language courses and kept taking the TOEFL test to see if I was improving. And finally, I made it!

Now, I feel like my life is finally starting. This is what I always wanted to so, so imagine if I had let that silly language thing stand in my way. I mean, I don’t know where I’d be now if I hadn’t re-taken the test, but not at Oxford that’s for sure.”
